Ruby Valley takes to peace and quiet trekking route, well very rich in culture and nature. Ruby Valley trekking is located to the east-west of Kathmandu, the border with Tamang heritage trail & Langtang national park. The trails commence for this trek from several places, but we recommend going via Langtang national park to have the best view of Langtang, lirung himal, and Ganesh Himal Range Mountains. It passes through dense pine forest, national rhododendron, trees, wild animals and much more think forest. The trail leads us to many local villages of Tamang inhabitants & fertile farming land, nice village traces. In this region, you will observe real Nepali custom in their homestay with a warm hospitality of local people and taste variety of local dishes organic and fresh food, most of the food are produced by themselves. In this homestay trek, we can invite natives to show their cultural community dance. Ruby valley has peaceful Gumbas and several monks meditate here. Ruby Valley home stay Trek is a unique and totally different trekking route from other popular and touristy area.

The April 25 and 12 May 2015 Nepal earthquake have caused major casualty in the daily lifestyle of an inhabitant, monasteries, Gumbas other various sectors of the region. Your trip contributions will be implicated to enhance the re-constructional activities.

Short Itinerary

Day 01   Arrive at Kathmandu, Altitude 1350m.

Day 02   Kathmandu valley sightseeing.

Day 03   Kathmandu to Syrubesi, Altitude 1530m.

Day 04   Syrbubesi to Chawatar-gatlang, Altitude 2337m.

Day 05   Gatalang- Parvati kund- Yuirkharka-Somdang, Altitude 3271m.

Day 06   Somdang- Pangsang pass- Tipling, Pangsang pass ‘altitude 3842m and Tipling ‘altitude 2078m.

Day 07   Tipling-Sakpar-Chalish village, Altitude 1600m.

Day 08   Hike to Tatopani.

Day 09   Chalish village- Borang gaun-Jarlang-Dharkah, Altitude 850m.

Day 10   Darkha-Darkha Phedi- Dading besi- Kathmandu.

Day 01   Arrive at Kathmandu, Altitude 1350m.

Our representative will receive you from Tribhuwan International airport and transfer you to the hotel. We will have welcome dinner at Nepali restaurant and enjoy the Nepali cuisine.

Day 02   Kathmandu valley sightseeing.

On this day we will be exploring the UNESCO world heritage sites and discussion in the evening for the further trip.

Day 03   Kathmandu to Syrubesi, Altitude 1530m.

After having breakfast, we will drive north from Kathmandu over crisscross and hilly road that permits over a busy market town of Trishuli Bazaar and Dhunche. We will continue our drive trip to reach Syabrubesi where there are many tea houses and good camping sites. Today’s drive offers decent views of Manaslu, Ganesh Himal and Langtang Himalayan Ranges. Besides, you will get brief glimpses of village life along the drive route.

Day 04   Syrbubesi to Chawatar-gatlang, Altitude 2337m.

We start our trek from Syabrubesi ensuing the trail that leads through the new valley road to Chilime Khola valley. From there we will bang left and head west on a decent trail towards Thambuchet and continue trekking until we arrive at Gatlang.

Day 05   Gatalang- Parvati kund- Yuirkharka-Somdang, Altitude 3271m.

Leaving Gatlang we will shadow a broad trail that indications to Parvati Kunda. From there we will trek through the forest filled with pine and rhododendron trees before rising up to Khurpu Dada Pass at 3710 meters. From here we will go west and descend all the way down to Somdang.

Day 06   Somdang- Pangsang pass- Tipling, Pangsang pass ‘altitude 3842m and Tipling ‘altitude 2078m.

From Somdang we will follow the trail that hikes up over dense forest before crossing above a large kharka that heads towards Pasang La Pass at 3842 meters where natives have built a small gompa. From the top, we will gradually incline through terraced fields of Lawadun or the village of Tipling. There are few tea houses and good camping sites in Tipling.

Day 07   Tipling-Sakpar-Chalish village, Altitude 1600m.

From Tipling we will descend to cross over Adha river and begin to climb towards the village of Shertung. Throughout the trek, at the moment we will have a chance to look at the fertile river valleys. Shertung is a small village occupied mainly by Tamang. From here good views of Lapsang Karpo and Ganesh Himal range can be seen.

Day 08   Hike to Tatopani.

We will trek for about 30 minutes to reach Chalish Gaon. Here we will leave our stuff and take a walk to reach Tatopani which means hot water/spring. Enjoy your day at the hygienic hot spring in one of the best hot spring in this region. We will return to Chalish Gaon for the overnight stay.

Day 09   Chalish village- Borang gaun-Jarlang-Dharkah, Altitude 850m.

We will continue our trek form Chalish following the trail that passes through Mani Danda. From here great views of Ganesh Himal Range can be seen. Our further trek passes through Deul danda, Gobre village, Chhap danda and Bandari Bhir. Rock climbing has gained more popularity in recent years around this area. We will carry on to trek following the trail that permits through Lishne jungle and Chhapchyat village and arrives at Jurlang.

Day 10   Darkha-Darkha Phedi- Dading besi- Kathmandu.

Take a flight from Darkha-Darkha Phedi- Dading besi- Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel.
